Late Wednesday afternoon I was one of the featured poets who read on the lawn by the Altadena Farmers Market where many families were lounging. Khadija Anderson was the organizer and host. And I performed three of my classic food poems: Owed To Aluminum, The Planet Of The Oreos, and French Toast.
Then, that same evening I was the featured poet for Jessica Wilson's Writer Wednesdays at Bob's Espresso Bar in North Hollywood. I read seven poems chosen at random from seven of my chapbooks: Just One Cell In The Concrete Bloodstream, Sense, Desktop Love, Why Jupiter Rains Tears, The man with small hands, Cube, and Model.
