Performance!

Performed three poems (You Got The Freedom, Homo Superior, and I Got The American Right) this afternoon at the 100,000 Poets for Change reading at Beyond Baroque in Venice.

Published and Performing!!

On Wednesday night I had the pleasure of performing one ("Analogy Planet") of two poems ("The World Is") published in this cool new anthology (produced by Raundi Kai-Moore Kondo) at The Ugly Mug in Orange.  Here's the link to a video of that performance > (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uQcDvEtbZQ&feature=youtu.be) and a link to check out the publisher's website, where you can buy the book (for a good cause, it benefits CHOC, the Children's Hospital of Orange County) > (http://www.theloveofwords.com/a-poet-is-a-poet-no-matter-how-tall--the-anthology.html). It was fun!

Hostin' and Featurin'!!

Thanks to Jessica Wilson, I was the Guest Host for the Soapbox poetry reading series on Sunday at Beyond Baroque in Venice.

Then, later that afternoon, thanks to hosts Dori Marler and James Maverick, I was the first of three featured poets for the first Expressions poetry reading at the Glendale Days Inn.  I read seven poems from my recent chapbooks: Ball of Fire, After A Wet Night, Trading In An Alliterative NBA, Allen Avenue, Back To The Future, Poetry Is, and On The Beach Bed.

Poetic Labor Day Weekend!

On Saturday I participated in the Peer Poet Program at the Montebello Library helping teen poets create poetry in under an hour.

And yesterday I hosted a Peace Poetry Potluck at Garvey Ranch Park in Monterey Park.  It also turned out to be a reunion of The Inner Four (pictured above).
