Publication and Feature!!

Picked up a copy of this gorgeous new anthology tonight at the publication reading inside Half Off Books in Whittier. I've got three classic poems in it (Kitty Hawk California, Fourth Lesson, and The Artist) about my daughter, and had the chance to read all of them as a featured poet.

Performed my classic poems The Great Divide Comes Together and A Life Without Latinos from the anthology No Se Habla Espanol as part of the 100,000 Poets For Change reading at Tia Chuchas in Sylmar last night.

Last night I was a featured poet at a celebration of Cat Stevens held at the Ruskin Theatre in Santa Monica. I performed my poems "Techman" (each stanza working as a music trivia question, each audience member answering correctly received a copy of my latest chapbook) and "Novim's Nightmare Whistlestar" (using 36 Cat Stevens song titles to create a poem). They loved both!
